Grief Counseling

We at Armstrong's know that the pain and adjustments from losing a loved one don't end when the funeral concludes. It was this premise which led to the creation of our own exclusive aftercare program, the Durham Grief Resource Centre. Since its inception several years ago, it has been highly praised by many community organizations for its achievements in death and grief counseling and education. But most importantly, we've helped many, many families deal with their loss. The Resource Centre includes -

• an on-site grief educator, Tom Easthope
• one-on-one or family/group counseling at no charge to the
  families we serve
• an extensive library of 400+ books and 60 videos on grief and
  related subjects
• seminars for local community groups - often utilized by
  health care providers
• education on funerals and grief
