URBANKIEWICZ: Jadwiga ”Jenny” (nee Biernat) – March 23, 1917 – January 29, 2013. Peacefully at Golden Plough Lodge, Cobourg, Ontario with her family at her side. Jadwiga was a loving and devoted wife to the late Wladyslaw “Walter” Urbankiewicz (1998). Beloved mother of Barbara Mirunski, Irene Lubowitz (late John), Virigina Mair, Walter (Anne-Marie), Lester (Jane), and Edward (Cathy). Adored Babcia to 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Jadwiga will be missed by her friends in Oshawa and Cobourg and her family of nieces and nephews both in Toronto and in Poland. Thanks to Dr. Reynolds and the staff of the Golden Plough Lodge for the loving care Jenny received while there. Friends may call at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Thursday January 31st from 7-9pm. Prayers at 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday February 1st at 10am at St. Hedwig’s Church (Olive and Central Park). Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
