SMART, Catherine Mary Elizabeth

Passed away suddenly on Friday January 24th 2014. Cathy was the beloved daughter of Norman and Edith Smart, cherished adopted daughter of Thelma and dear sister to Ruth, Margaret (Merley Wheaton), Philip (Elisabeth), Michael (Heather), Terry (Judy), Doug (Bonnie), Bill (Carol), Ken (Cheryl), Rob (Judy). She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families. Visitation and a Funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 28th from 1-2pm and service at 2:30pm at First Baptist Church, Oshawa followed by Interment at Thornton Cemetery Wednesday morning. Our family would like to commend the staff of Lakeridge Health Whitby, and especially Michelle Acorn, for their attentive care and concern. Memorial donations may be made to Oshawa Public Library or First Baptist Church with gratitude for the friendship and kindness that Cathy found in these places. We are so thankful to have loved and been loved by Cathy and will rejoice when we meet again.
