Obituary for Francis Leo "Frank" O'Neill

O'Neill, Francis Leo (Frank) - Passed away in Oshawa on June 07th, 2014 at the age of 81 after a sudden, brief illness. Frank is survived by his wife of 57 years Patricia (Pat), children Marylee and Greg. Biggest cheerleader and best friend to grandchildren Jeremy, Christopher and wife Katie, Auriel and Isobelle. Well known to be the best attentive person by all of the furry four-legged extended family members.
A long-time, loyal employee of GM of Canada Frank was a graduate of St. Mike's (Toronto) and the University of Windsor. In retirement he championed community fundraising for the United Way and enjoyed winters with Pat on Florida's Satellite Beach.
Youngest of five, Frank is predeceased by parents Leo O'Neill and Agnes Maude O'Connor, sisters Helen and Eileen, and brothers Desmond and George.
Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 11th at 11 am at St. Mary of the People Church, Oshawa. In keeping with Frank's approach to enjoying family and friends, a reception will follow immediately after the service. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-4711)
Donations may be made to The United Way of Oshawa/Whitby, Stella's Place (www.stellasplace.ca), The Parkwood Foundation and may be made at the funeral home.
