It is with a great sense of loss, the family of John Dulinski announces his passing on Tuesday July 28, 2015 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at the age of 90. John fought a courageous 11 year battle with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. Dearly loving husband to Jadwiga for 55 years. Loving father to Elizabeth (Robert Brunelle), Richard (Maria) and Ted (Denise). Proud grandfather of Brittney and Johnathan (Brunelle), Stephanie and Sabrina (Dulinski). Missed by sister-in-law Wanda Soltysiak and her husband Czeslaw, remembered and missed by his nephews and nieces, Mathew Soltysiak, Mark Grabowski and his wife Catherine, Joanne Gamble and her husband Mark and family, Ida Dergalstenian, her husband and family. Also missed by families in Poland. John was a World War II veteran and survivor of Siberian labour camps, member of St. Hedwig's church and member of General Sikorski Polish Veteran’s Association for over 30 years. He came to Canada in November 1946, worked for Inco in Sudbury for 16 years. Later he worked for the Regional Municipality of Durham as a District Supervisor. He retired from the region in 1990 and enjoyed life with his wife and family after retirement. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Lakeridge Health and R.S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre for their care and support. Friends and family may call at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-4711) on Friday July 31st from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday August 1st at 11am at St. Hedwig’s Church (Olive and Central Park). Interment Oshawa Union Cemetery on Tuesday August 4th at 10am.
