Konstanty “Stan” Zukowski
April 4th, 1917 – February 1st 2017
Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa
Veteran of the Polish regiment in the British army in WWII. Survived Siberian work camp. Saw action in Egypt and Italy including Monte Casino
Proud owner of Top Town Tailors on Simcoe Street, Oshawa. Serving the Oshawa community from 1959 until his retirement in 1990.
Beloved by his family and friends, he lived a full social and active life
Predeceased by beloved wife Maria Zukowski (September 10th, 2008)
Loving father of Richard and his wife Marie, and Alexander and his wife Maria
Cherished grandfather of Teresa (Daryal), Nadya, Annette, and Andrew
Forever remembered by great-grandchildren Amanda and Kaillie
Survived by grandnephew Sergey Masailo and many other nieces and nephews in Poland.
Visitation will be held at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King Street E., Oshawa) on Friday February 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Prayers will be held at 8pm.
Funeral mass will be held on Saturday February 4th at St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church (411 Olive Avenue, Oshawa) at 1:30pm with interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
