Condolence From: Eddy Swynar
Condolence: Hi Joanne, I never did know your Dad through our mutual employer General Motors, at all: even though he eventually became the plant manager at the Scarborough Van Plant, I was transferred earlier from that site to Oshawa, years before his arrival there...so our paths never did cross, professionally. However, I did have occasion to interact with both your father and mother, on the occasion of regular monthly Scarborough Van Plant breakfast reunions that we both attended in retirement, in Oshawa: your parents' affectionate mutual devotion to one another was obvious, and was surely something to be aspired to and admired, both. I must say, I had never, ever heard one single disparaging word from fellow ex-Van Plant employees about your Dad, who had worked there right up until the closing of the facility, under his stewardship. That fact, together with the love and the mutual respect that your parents shared, surely stand as testament to a life well lived. My best thoughts and wishes are with you and your family at this timeā€¦ Kindest regards, Eddy Swynar

Condolence: I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Mr.Cox. Growing up I have so many memories dear to my heart of him - far too numerous to write. One is of his singing us awake in our tents at Mazinaw Lake. He was one of the kindest gentlest souls with a great sense of family and humour. My sincerest condolences go out to Joanne, Dave, Rob & Jim & their families. I'll always think of him with fondness.
