Condolence From: Mitchell Lyons
Condolence: I want to send my deepest condolences. I have so many great memories of Roy growing up, from always inviting us to his pool, to teaching and sharing all he knew about music with me. Thank you for being so kind.

Condolence: Mr.Clarke was my homeroom teacher at Port Perry High School for the first two years there.I was in his Machine Shop class for four years and spent a lot of time just hanging around in the shop.In that time he he changed my life forever. With his help I obtained an apprenticeship as a Tool and Die Maker and still work as one today.I remember him helping classmates with other subjects helping them better their grades.
Thanks Mr.Clarke for helping make my life what it is today.

Condolence: My family friend Barb!

How to begin to attempt to put into words what Roy, and yourself, have met to our family!

For over 20 years you have been neighbours to my parents, and in that time you have taken the whole family into your hearts!

Watching Roy and Dads friendship develop over many joys, like cooking together, to being so patient, as for Roy to attempt to teach my Dad to play the cornet, (LOL), from the bonding by attending the gym three times a week, watching the two of them chat// joke, sharing so much! This has been a God sent privilege!

Then, for your and Moms friendship, that began as you discovered family and friend connections, through church and music!
Who would have ever thought of such commonalities! (Even my high school friend, MaryAnn, at the social work job).

Such deep friendships, esp as we get older, are very rare! All 4 of you had , (and Mom/Dad and you will still have) , been given a Blessing from God!

All I can really say, is my heart is with you, my prayers are with you, and I send all my condolences to you!

Our families will forever be close!
As Roy rejoices in Heaven, and until all of you reunite together, may you lean on family and friends, during this hard time!

Love always!

Kimberly

Condolence From: The Lyons Family
Condolence: Dearest Barb and Family,

Our hearts are broken. Please know that our love and thoughts are with all of you as we move to say farewell to this wonderful man.

Roy, we thank you and Barb for welcoming our family 20+ years ago into your hearts and your family. We’ve enjoyed the stories of your adventures with Mom and Dad - always so much laughter and shenanigans! Dad will deeply miss your friendship, hanging at the gym, cooking pasta sauce & soup and sharing the tractor!

We remember how you took our children under your wing, whether it was teaching Mitchell the Cornet or throwing the girls in the pool. Without a doubt the mantra you shared with Jordan, “Girls Rule, Boys Drool” will be in our minds every time we pass your home.

Knowing you are getting everyone into shape, playing music and that your blue eyes will twinkle with mischief forever fills us with love and warmth. We miss you with all our hearts.

Smiling for you always,
Much love,
Linda, Rob, Mitchell, Jordan & Samantha xoxoo

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Clarke. I have many fond memories of him as my basketball coach. It takes a brave and gifted teacher to deal with both teenage girls on the basketball court and teenage boys in the auto shop. I also remember how much my mother, Jean Kennedy, respected and enjoyed working with him at Port Perry High School.

Condolence: We are sorry to hear of the passing of Roy and pray that the Lord would be your comfort in this time.
My fondest memory of Roy would include the time we spent together at Port Perry High and the thrashing that Roy would regularly lay on me and others at lunch times playing Backgammon. He was the first to teach me the game and he was a good teacher.
