Passed away peacefully in her own home on April 2, 2018 just shy of her 93rd birthday. While visiting her father in Canada in 1969 Maria decided this would be a wonderful place to lay roots for her daughter, Bonnie and future generations. She was met with many challenges, and overcame them all through being true to her personal principles: God, family, love and hard work. Without her amazing qualities the rest of her family would not have the opportunities, wisdom and connection to their heritage only she could demonstrate. Maria worked relentlessly for her husband to join her and her daughter. She will always remain the absolute cornerstone of our family and close friends through her memories and lessons.Predeceased by her loving husband George. Cherished mother of Marta Jevcakova (Milan), the late Bozenka, and Bonnie Krasnovsky (Raymond). Proud Babka to Milan (Zuza), Erika, Victoria (John), Stephanie and Natalie (Nick). Great-Grandmother to Alena, Daša, Tomi, Melodie and Niklaus. Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home on Friday, April 6th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 7th at 11am at Protection Of The Mother Of God Catholic Church, 464 Ritson Rd S. Entombment to follow Resurrection Cemetery, Whitby.
