Yves Faubert died peacefully at home on June 28 at the age of 55. Yves was born in Sudbury on May 18, 1963 and grew up in Dowling, Ontario. Throughout his life, he inspired many students as a teacher of both music and literature. Yves showed his love by creating beautiful meals for family and friends and embraced his artistry by creating and performing music with friends in his recording studio, appreciating French literature, and more recently, expressing himself through his poetry.

Yves is survived by his parents Roma and Jacqueline Faubert of Sudbury, brother Gilles of Sudbury and sister Ginette (Dan Atkins) of London, by his three children: Alexandre (Sacha) Faubert of Oshawa and Thierry Faubert of Lake Louise, and Ella Dooley-Faubert of Oshawa, and by many friends. His children were his pride and joy. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and remembered with love and fondness by Tracey.

Memorial Visitation to take place at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Tuesday July 3, 2018 from 2-4 pm.

Donations can to CAMH (Centre for Addiction & Mental Health) would be appreciated by the family.

Yves Faubert est décédé paisiblement chez lui le 28 juin à l'âge de 55 ans. Yves est né à Sudbury le 18 mai 1963 et a grandi à Dowling en Ontario. Il a inspiré plusieurs jeunes comme enseignant de musique et de littérature. Yves a vécu pleinement sa vie: il créait des repas élaborés et il embrassait son art en créant et en interprétant de la musique avec des amis dans son studio d'enregistrement, il appréciait la littérature française et, plus récemment, il créait de la poésie.

Yves laisse dans le deuil ses parents Roma et Jacqueline Faubert de Sudbury, son frère Gilles de Sudbury et sa soeur Ginette (Dan Atkins) de London, ainsi que ses enfants Alexandre (Sacha) Faubert d'Oshawa et Thierry Faubert du Lac Louise et Ella Dooley-Faubert d'Oshawa. Ses enfants étaient sa plus grande source de joie et de fierté . Il manquera beaucoup à sa famille et à ses amis et rappelé avec amour et affection par Tracey.
