Black, Kathleen (Kathy) 1945 – 2015 – Passed away peacefully on Friday June 12, 2015 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa after a long battle with cancer, and family at her side. She leaves behind her loving and adoring husband Ken, children Chris and Michael Schack (Dodie) and grandchildren Zion and Sadie. Also, step children Trevor (Jeannie), Jan (Rick), Bill (Tracey) and Keith (Lisa). Grandchildren Karly (Chris), Taylor, Nolan, and great grandchildren Gage and Selena. Her sisters Molly McNulty (Pat), Margaret Neuman (Ralph), and Marie Black (David), all of England. Her aunt Kathleen McKay (Magnus) of Scotland and her great aunt Betty Nyhus of Norway. Kathy will be fondly missed by all of her family, including nieces, nephews, in laws and treasured friends here and overseas, all of whom she loved dearly. Expressions of condolences are welcomed at a small gathering planned for Saturday June 20, 2015 beginning at 11 am, at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, ON L1H 1B6. A short service will follow at 12 noon. Kathy’s wishes are that her ashes be ultimately scattered with her husband Ken, when the time comes.
