Sandy, Glenn Wright

Passed away peacefully with his three children by his side, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday October 2, 2016 at the age of 86. Loving father of Pauline Sandy, Jeffery Sandy (Natalie) and Alison Dale. Cherished grandpa of Kurtis and Krystal (Adam) Keating and Julia Sandy. Survived by his brother Clare (Cathy), sisters Margaret, Joanne, Pauline, his brother Neal, sister in law Gwyn and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Trevor and his parents Max and Ethel. Will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends at Hillsdale Estates and lovingly remembered by family, extended family and friends.
Glenn grew up on a farm in Omemee and loved the farm life. He also loved cars, telling jokes, playing pool, jumble puzzles, and playing the harmonica. He had a wonderful sense of humour and loved music. He will always be remembered for his smile, the twinkle in his eye, the care and concern he had for others and always wearing a cap.
Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Thursday October 6th from 7-9 pm and on Friday October 7th from 9am until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 10 am. Interment Emily Cemetery, Omemee. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated.
