The time has come to honour our dearly loved Ma and Babcia who lived life with strength, laughter, kindness and a beautiful heart.

Predeceased by her parents (Ignacy and Rozalja Kargul), sister (Mary Lasek), and beloved husband (Bronislaw) and son (Valdemar), Helen’s amazing spirit will continue to live through her son Raymond (daughter-in-law Joanne) and daughter Joann; grandchildren Mark and Lindsey, Greg and Becky, and Briana; and great granddaughter Penelope. We know Ma/Babcia will continue to oversee our pierogi-making days, the baking of rum and cheese cakes, and the sharing of oplatek.

We extend a special thank you to Helen’s many friends for enriching her life especially Krysia Patel and Linda Tulloch. Sincere thanks are also extended to the staff of Lakeridge Health Oshawa (9th floor); Estie at Cardinal Nannies; Matty, Michelle and Nicole at St. Elizabeth; and Max Bonilla.

Friends may call at the Armstrong Funeral Home 124 King Street East (905) 433-4711 on Wednesday, January 11th from 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm with prayers at 8:00 pm. Funeral mass will be held at St. Hedwig’s Parish 411 Olive Avenue on Thursday, January 12 at 2:00 pm. Interment Resurrection Cemetery Oshawa. If you wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Scott Mission.
