Condolences

Condolence From: Judy
Condolence: It is with sadness and yet pride that I write this.
Aunt Verna was such a gentle soul. Her quiet smile and little giggle will always be lovingly
remembered. Aunt Verna had a very positive
effect on my youth and I am happy to say she was a positive role model in my life. “it takes a village to raise a child and she was a lovely heart in MY village”.
My thoughts go back to the endless Birthday Parties, Christmas Eves, New Years Day family celebrations, parlour games,Crazy Halloween costumes, Weddings, Births, all made so special by her support and ever smiling presence.
A true Lady, Verna had a special internal
strength that came forward in times of hardship and grief. She was always there for our family and will be
fondly remembered. With love Judy

Condolence From: Donald Coleman
Condolence: I have fond memories of the warm hospitality of the Goodchilds when we visited Oshawa back in the 1970's and 1980's. My dad, Roy Coleman, and grandmother, Eva (Crowell) Coleman took us over to visit them every time we came down from Saskatchewan. Verna always offered us a cup of tea or a cold drink, and sometimes a delicious meal, and we enjoyed our visits. The last time I was there was when Laura and I stopped in on our honeymoon in 1995. Even though it has been a while, Verna and her siblings are still fondly remembered.
