Condolence From: D. Santiago
Condolence: I'm so sorry for your loss. Please let me share a comforting hope for the future. Please read Gods promise for the near future in John 5:28,29 and Acts 24:15. Jehovah God gives us the hope to see our loved ones again in a paradise earth and enjoy each other's company, Psalm 37:29. How wonderful it will be to see your loved one full of life and doing things that bring true happiness.

Condolence: Dear Clyde,
I remember our first meeting. My sister and I had just moved into our house and wanted to build a shed in our back yard. Not knowing anyone in Oshawa, we asked our real estate agent if he could recommend someone, and he put us in touch with you. What a blessing! I had been having a very bad morning thanks to an unfriendly neighbour. When the doorbell rang, there you were - a lifesaver. "Donnie and Clyde" helped us rebuild our shed and thus began a friendship that lasted many years.
The following summer I decided to repaint my home inside and I called you. You came every day for almost six weeks. It was never a chore to me because you told me such funny stories about your family, friends and life in Newfoundland. I haven't laughed so much since that time. What wonderful memories! Many of your stories have found their way to a permanent home in our 'family humour.' I called you so many times about various things that Rose took to calling me your 'other wife.'
So sad to hear of your passing, but so happy to know that you are with Rose again. Rest in peace, my friend.

Condolence: For the older Spurrell's reading this, you may know me as Linda Payne. While looking through the Obits in the Whitby paper tonight, I came upon Clyde's. I noticed the name Spurell and decided to read it. I realized it was a person from my old neighbourhood of Mutphy's Lane, St. John's, NL. The strange thing was, the night before I was thinking of the Spurrell family and was trying to remember their names, one in particular, Betty.. I was saddened to see some of his siblings have passed. As young kids, Tony, Ralph, Bev, Bety and Jerry played with the rest of us on the Lane, and fun times we had. My condolences to the Spurrell family. May those of them that have passed, rest in peace. Hold unto the memories, they will be a comfort. My sister Delores (aka Dolly)also passes along her condolences.

Condolence: Dear Clyde; First let me say I will miss you and your quirky and dry sense of humour. You always greeted me with a smile and occasionally a little hug. I spent many weekend visits at the dozens of yard sales Michele did for you. I remember you chasing people away because they insulted you with an offer to buy something. It was apparent that these items were your treasures and held your life's memories. Michele and I would chuckle at some of your prices. I remember you making sure Michele got back to Ontario safe and I realized she too was one of your greatest treasures. Although you didn't always see eye to eye I hope see knows that you loved her and she was your treasure. I want to thank you for giving me my other sister. I will never forget the Thanksgiving that you shared with my family and I. The jokes and laughter you brought. You even smiled a lot. And I have pictures to prove it. Michele on one side and me on your other side. Both your daughters. I know you are smiling now being reunited with your lovely Rose. You led a full and happy life scratching many tickets, drinking your spiked coffee and cuddling your two baby kitty's. I pray you find peace and tranquility and can finally take a long deep breath. All my love to you on your journey. Hugs and butterfly kisses always. Signed

Your other daughter xo
