Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Walker can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Barbara-Anne Patterson
Condolence: John was the G.M. at Bailey's Balloon Brigade when I worked with him. We had the greatest team of employees all led by this wonderful, happy, generous man. I will never forget his 'Brunch[es] with Bach' and his laugh was one that would make you laugh as well! I will miss you John. R.I.P.

Condolence: Condolences to John's family. I have fond memories of my days at McDonald's (Simcoe & Taunton) where John was a manager in the 70's.
John was the first person who interviewed me for a job. He was always fair to his employees and had great fun initiating newbies. I helped distribute flyers for his first run at an Oshawa city council position.
I always wondered what John was up to after those early days and it appears he lead a full life.

Condolence: To Ruth, Bob, Jim and families: lots of great memories from the early days of our families spending Christmas mornings together and summer get-togethers.
The last time that I visited John at the Officers' Mess, we had a few laughs about the past. His humour was always priceless. He still referred to my Mom and Dad as Aunt Ruth and Uncle Bob. Now, they, along with his Dad, Alec, welcome him home.
So well respected in the community, he will be missed by many.

Condolence: John, you steered us through 2 wedding receptions and several bridal showers. On your watch we had many happy times in the Officers Mess at dinners and seasonal celebrations. To your credit the stewards who served us did so with class and impeccable attention to detail. Thank you for your friendship through the years. At our son Tim's wedding you did double duty....Mess Manager and Best Man. A title that suites you to a "T". Can't imagine the Mess without you.
Here's to a Life Well Lived.
