The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Walker can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

We want to extend or most sincere condolences to John's family and close friends. We met John originally through the Rotary Club of Oshawa and had the pleasure of serving on committees with him for many years. John will be remembered by so many people for his dedication and service to the Ontario Regiment, the Rotary Club of Oshawa, 151 Chadburn Squadron, the Chamber of Commerce and the community at large. We will miss his sense of humour and his infectious laughter. "There's a hole in the world today". He will be missed.

John and I attended Donovan together, enjoyed the Officer's Mess, Rotary Club of Oshawa, and Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce Board & Executive together. His contributions and camaraderie will be sorely missed. Rest in peace John!
